ABOUT KYLE BENHAM

After graduating from Indiana University, Kyle moved to Los Angeles where he worked his way up the ladder of one cancelled late night show after another (The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, Lopez Tonight, Kathy, BrandX with Russell Brand, The Arsenio Hall Show). While working for those programs, writers did their best to put him in numerous sketches (as a stripping altar boy, Wal-Mart masturbator, drag queen, and pervert security guard), that made his family back home very proud and didn’t make him feel insecure about his co-workers’ feelings toward him in the slightest.

Kyle took his love for late night, and with the help of his two best friends, co-created a completely improvised late night talk show that ran in Los Angeles for over two years, Up Late with Adam Fisher. The monologue, desk pieces, and guest interviews were made up on the spot, as well as the musical performance that closed out each show. What began as calling in favors from friends grew to guest appearances from the likes of Paul F Tompkins, Jessica Williams, Ari Stidham, Rob Delaney, and Robert Ben Garant. Babies and marriage were the slow death of the show, but it made a triumphant return in 2019.

Over the past few years, Kyle has made the move over to the horror side of things, producing a short film adaptation of “Popsy”, a story form Stephen King’s Nightmares and Dreamscapes. It’s won several awards and been accepted into film festivals all over the globe. Kyle and the rest of the crew at Pale Moonlight Cinema plan to produce a full feature in 2020.

When Kyle’s not producing, you can find him home, serenading his wife to pop songs with updated lyrics to fit her specific situation.  He also uses the time off to keep in touch with his seven siblings, four parents, two cats, and a chow chow named Farley (@Farleythefatboy).
